Dropping off a big bag of donations before browsing the racks at Salvation Army earlier this week must have given me good thrifting karma. This maxi skirt was one of my favorite finds of the day. It’s bold animal print, soft, stretchy material, and ability to work both with and without a baby bump won me over. The $2.99 price tag might have helped a little too. ;)
One of the many things I love about animal print is how easy it makes it to mix black and brown accessories. In this outfit, I’m mixing a black shirt with a brown hat and necklace, and a skirt, shoes, and bracelets which are a mix of both, all without looking totally wackadoo.
On a slightly more random note, I’ve finally taken the plunge and picked up a select few pieces of maternity clothing (mostly basics). This was primarily because I didn’t want to ruin some of my regular clothes by stretching them out any further. I was at least glad to tough it out 2/3 of the way through before giving in!

Thanks Dotty! It was an exciting find. :)
That skirt is amazing! The price tag makes it even more amazing. Love how you’ve styled it, too! :)

Thank you – I’m looking forward to experimenting with many different ways of styling it!
That skirt is a great find, and the price is fantastic! I love that hat on you too. I’m still holding out hope that I can find a hat I like (on me) this summer!
Thanks Shea! I picked up this hat before a desert vacation last year. I’d never been much of a hat person previously, but I can’t get enough of this one! I’d love to broaden my horizons sometime soon and try another style. Good luck on your hat hunt!
What a find! And you are right, animal print is great for mixing brown and black with. And bonus points for being able to wear it now and after the little one arrives!
PS-I love your nail polish combo!
Thank you Sara! :)
