Today is a super special day at Everybody, Everywear – everyone is sharing their thrifted best! Thrifting is one topic I feel like I could write for hours about. I have enjoyed thrifting since I was a kid – it is one of my favorite past times. As a college student on a budget, I relied on my local buy/sell/trade clothing store to refresh my wardrobe with a steady stream of secondhand treasures. Today, I decided to showcase a few of my favorite casual thrifted pieces together. It was hard to choose, but I settled on my favorite pattern (leopard) plus my favorite color (red).
These red pants were thrifted for a mere $2.99. They were originally flares, however I altered them to have a skinny leg. You can read more about that restyle project here. I was prompted to buy these pants after seeing countless pairs of brightly colored pants online. I loved the look, but wasn’t sure I could pull it off. I think thrifting is a great way to try out trends that a) may not last long or b) you’re not sure will work for you. It would not be a huge loss if it didn’t work out as planned. In the case of these red pants, I was thrilled with the results and have loved wearing my them in a variety of outfits!
A second thrifted item in this outfit is my leopard halter. I’ve had it for at least six years, so I can’t remember exactly how much it cost. Probably not much more than a few bucks, and I’m sure the cost per wear of the shirt is mere pocket change. I’m a bit of an animal print fanatic. I keep rooting for animal print to be the next EBEW theme – someday soon I hope! Oh yes, and these earrings were thrifted too. :)

I’m itching to try the skinny-ing of pants. You do it so nicely! I love the idea of finding something at a thrift store and making it just perfect. All for $3!
Thanks for joining the thrift-off today!
My thrifted pick for EBEW was a pair of fun colored pants too. Love the red. It looks great with the leopard.
Those red jeans look amazing on you!
I lovvve the red jeans and they look great with leopard print. If you’re interested, I host a thrifting link up on my blog each week and I’d love for you to join in on it!
